There are many factors choosing the right water well drilling rig. When acquiring a new drilling rig, well specification and drilling methods should play big roles in the decision-making process.
When selecting a water well drilling rig, we should consider three main things: location, well specification and drilling method.
Location includes knowing the drilling conditions below and above ground. Drillers need to know the formations they must drill through to keep the borehole open for the well. Above ground, drillers need to consider altitude and extreme hot or cold weather conditions.
Well specification is about the diameter and the total depth required to complete the well. This will influence the compressor or mud pump decisions. The depth of the hole determine how heavy the string weight will be once the total depth has been reached.
The selection of the drilling method will be based on location and well specification. That information will allow you to choose different options, such as whether to use air or mud, rotary drilling or down-the-hole hammer, cable tool drilling or hydraulic rotary.
Driller will be flexible to select a rig if they understand more in the application.
